My 5 Favorite Restaurants in Downtown Rochester
We are lucky to have an almost unlimited number and variety of fantastic restaurants throughout downtown Rochester with unique menus and atmospheres. Although difficult, I managed to update the previous list of my top 5 restaurants in downtown Rochester (and I still can think of another 5 that were all extremely close!)
Kabin Krusers/Rochester Chop House - One of my favorite restaurants that I have ever been to. The atmosphere has a classic feel to it and is almost like its own world. Whether you are getting a steak at the Chophouse or seafood at Kabins, you can’t go wrong. Spending time here always becomes more than just a meal.
Penny Black - Penny Black is a great place to meet friends after work for happy hour or dinner. You will find many unique specialty items on their menu, all equally delicious. With indoor and outdoor bars as the centerpieces for the restaurant, you are guaranteed to have a good time.
Bologna - You will enjoy some of the most delicious Italian food and incredible talent performing live while you eat in an intimate setting. From Bologna’s pizzas to their pastas, you really can’t go wrong with any of their menu items. They are known to have some of the best cocktails in Rochester as well. Incredible service will make you feel well taken care of at the end of your meal. Bologna is a must try!
Chomp - Chomp is my go to when I am looking for something quick and healthy. I usually order the salmon wrap or their gyro, but I have tried many of their menu items, all delicious. They also have smoothies and juices. This has become a common lunchtime trip for me.
Too Ra Loo - I have grown up eating coneys (like most Detroiters), and have always loved pizza (like most people in general), and when I found out that a new place in town had combined the two, I knew that Too Ra Loo was going to be a favorite of mine already. It is the perfect place to watch a football game on their exceptional TV setup, grab a drink, and enjoy one of their specialty pizzas
