The Biggest Lesson I've Learned In Buying My First House
I had a personal goal to buy a house for myself by the end of 2018. I am happy to say I had an offer accepted a few weeks ago. While I have not closed yet, I have learned one enormous lesson I know will also apply to the rest of the process: PATIENCE.
Patience in hearing back on your offer, patience on having and receiving the results of your inspection, patience on your loan going through the steps it needs to be approved, patience with communication from all other parties involved.
I now know firsthand how hard it is to remain calm and collected while going through one of the most important financial decisions in one’s life. I also know how valuable having that patience is, and how much better off one will be without stressing over timelines and things out of one’s control.
This is only possible with professionals you can trust, and I am lucky to be a part of company and team that is full of them.
I have a renewed sense of patience not only for this process, but also for all of our clients. One of our biggest focuses is to make the transaction as smooth as possible for our clients, and I can say that focus has been amplified experiencing this process for myself. I can directly relate to all of our clients and what they are feeling and going through when buying a home.
Through the stressful portions of this process, I try to remember how exciting all of this is!
