In addition to its own community life, Rochester Hills is a quick 45-minute drive south to the heart of downtown Detroit, and is equally close to neighboring communities just north, east, and west, which all boast smaller-town communities and activities. 

Schools in Rochester Hills

Children who live here attend Rochester Community Schools. Recently, two of the district’s high schools, Rochester Adams High School and Stoney Creek High School, ranked in Michigan’s top 20, according to the annual U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools list.

Both Rochester University and Oakland University were founded in Rochester Hills and the universities continue to grow each year.
